When Cars Become Community: Inside The Exotics Network Collectors Dinner

There are nights when I look around and think, “This is exactly why I love what I do.”

The recent Collectors Dinner with The Exotics Network was one of those nights.

Produced by The Exotics Network in collaboration with Post Oak Motor Cars and The Post Oak Hotel, the evening brought together 60 collectors, clients and friends for a night centered around incredible cars, hospitality and, most importantly, community.

Post Oak Motor Cars has been a major sponsor and partner of The Exotics Network for more than two years, and this dinner felt like a natural extension of that relationship.

Many of the guests were longtime Post Oak Motor Cars clients. Others came through the incredible community TEN has built across the country. Bringing those worlds together in Houston made the evening especially meaningful.

And while there were more than $40 million worth of collector cars surrounding us, the cars were only part of the story.

The relationships in the room were what made the night.

Bringing Two Communities Together

One of the things I value most about our partnership with The Exotics Network is that we share a similar philosophy.

Cars may create the introduction, but relationships are what build the community.

Founded by Anand Clemens and Adonis Ordaniz, TEN has created an incredible network of collectors and enthusiasts through rallies, private experiences and events across the country.

Over the past two years, Post Oak Motor Cars has been fortunate to participate alongside them, support their events and introduce many of our own clients into that community.

For the Collectors Dinner, those relationships came together in one place.

TEN brought its event vision, network and production experience. Post Oak Motor Cars brought our clients, automotive brands, property and hospitality. Together, we created something that felt very representative of both communities.

An Evening Built Around Experience

The evening began with champagne receptions inside Bentley Houston and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Houston, giving guests the opportunity to spend time throughout the Post Oak Motor Cars property and experience the brands.

From there, a smaller group joined Blake Fertitta and me on the helipad at The Post Oak Hotel for a private reception overlooking Houston.

It was one of my favorite moments of the night.

Standing above the city with clients, collectors and friends from across the automotive world was one of those moments where I had to stop and take everything in.

The evening then transitioned to dinner, where 60 guests were seated together outside the ballroom at The Post Oak Hotel for a three-course dinner surrounded by an extraordinary collection of automobiles.

Two Bugatti Chirons.

A Ferrari F50.

Two Ferrari F40s.

A Porsche 918 Spyder.

Two Paganis.

A McLaren Sabre.

A Ferrari Monza SP2.

A McLaren Senna.

And many more.

It was a lineup you simply do not see together very often.

But even with cars of that caliber surrounding the table, the conversations happening between the people seated around it were what mattered most.

More Than Cars

One of the most rewarding parts of working in this industry is being able to help create experiences that go far beyond selling a vehicle.

Collectors want access, but not simply access to cars.

They want access to people.

Experiences.

Places.

And communities where their passion is understood.

That is a big part of what The Exotics Network has built, and it is also very much aligned with how we think about the client experience at Post Oak Motor Cars.

Our partnership works because both organizations understand that the relationship should extend well beyond the purchase of a car.

This dinner was a perfect example of that.

Houston’s Collector Community

Houston has an extraordinary automotive community, and I believe we are only beginning to show what can be created here.

Many of the collectors around that table have been part of the Post Oak Motor Cars family for years.

Others came into Houston through TEN.

Watching those relationships intersect was one of the most rewarding parts of the evening for me.

It is exactly why partnerships like this matter.

They expand the community.

They introduce people who may never have otherwise met.

And they give all of us another reason to keep creating experiences around something we genuinely love.
